Paid research assistant

For funded projects, we may have positions available for current CU Boulder students on an hourly basis for research assistants. The hourly pay range is between $18 to $25 depending on experience and level (e.g. undergraduate or graduate). We typically look for someone with experience working with children and families, studying or designing learning technologies, or engaging in educational environments such as libraries, after school clubs, and museums.

How to apply:

  • Review some our projects and our recent research papers.

  • Send an email to Prof. Ricarose Roque and include information about your relevant experience, your research interests, and why you would like to work in our group.

We will do our best to respond to your email if we have positions available.

Prospective PhD Student

Occasionally, we do a targeted search based on funding and we will post that information widely. Otherwise, we are generally seeking students who have relevant backgrounds and interests in creative learning with interaction design and children, children and families, community-engaged research and design, and equity and education. If you are interested in applying, please review our most recent projects and publications.

Prospective Masters Student

Prof. Roque can advise masters students through the research-centered masters program in Information Science. Please see the masters program page for more details on the application process.
