Building on our community-engaged research and design work, our team develops resources (e.g. guides, comics, newsletters) for educators to learn more about how they can adapt or remix what we’ve learned through our various projects. Family creative Learning Facilitator guide

These facilitator guides provide a basic framework to adapt the Family Creative Learning program model. It includes our photo documentation and strategies to illustrate how we implemented these workshops across multiple sites. These guides are for educators, community center staff, and volunteers interested in engaging their young people and their families to become designers and inventors in their community.

Facilitating Facilitators comics

Facilitators play key roles in creating a welcoming and creative learning environments for youth and families to create and learn together. In these comics, we wanted to recognize the practices, questions, and growth that facilitators experience as they support children and families. In addition, we hope these comics can be a tool for other facilitators and facilitation teams to reflect on their own experiences and practices.

Tinkering Together Newsletter

This newsletter features a community of educators and researchers sharing explorations in designing and facilitating computational tinkering experiences that strive towards equity and joy.

What equity means to me? Zine

In addition to building their knowledge and skills, facilitators need professional development that supports them in challenging and deepening their ongoing equity-oriented work as the material, social, cultural, and political contexts of their spaces and communities change. We designed this zine to scaffold individual and collective reflection among facilitators to unpack what equity means to them and what it means for their practice and organization.
